2009 Watch List

White Lies - To Lose My Life

Il 2009 musicale appare molto promettente, probabilmente migliore di un 2008 che ha regalato diversi buoni dischi ma che è mancato negli acuti, quelli che restano negli annali. Il mio promemoria degli album che usciranno nell'anno che sta per arrivare è infatti già piuttosto nutrito:

• Ambulance Ltd – Second Album (curato da John Cale, Ivy e Ladyfingers sono brani che promettono già molto)
• Arcade Fire – The Box OST (un paio di pezzi strumentali)
• Badly Drawn Boy – EP
• Band Of Horses – Third Album
• Belle & Sebastian – God Help The Girl
• Black Stoltzfus – Debut Album (in realtà sarebbe il secondo perchè è il nuovo nome della band Mazarin dopo le grane legali relative al precedente nome del gruppo)
• Cake – Live At Crystal Palace e Sixth Album
• Doves – Fouth Album (House Of Mirrors?)
• Franz Ferdinand – Tonight (26 gennaio)
• Gomez – A New Tide (30 marzo)
• Idlewild – Seventh Album
• Kasabian – Third Album (“Fire”? – stile Syd Barret dei primi Pink Floyd)
• Manic Street Preachers – Journal For Plague Lovers
• Morrissey – Years Of Refusal (16 febbraio)
